BASEBALL AND BOATS

Last week was busy but fun-filled!  Tuesday I went for my chiropractic appointment (back is getting better!!) and it was LDS night at the Louisville BATS game.  So, rather than sit on hard-backed stadium seats, I stayed home with the heating pad and Elder Breinholt took "our" elders with him to the game.  The team won so that made it good and everyone had a great time.  There were a few other seniors there but he chose to sit with the youngsters!

The rest of the week was fairly quiet.  We had a couple of days with rain, but I think that is expected here.  Thursday night we went out to dinner and as I got into the car, the back spasms started again and I had to have Don help me out of the car and then into bed!  I worked from home on Friday and it was BUSY!!! On Saturday morning, we had tickets to the Belle of Louisville and luckily, after a good nights rest, I was able to go. We had 8 couples, counting President and Sister Brough, two couples couldn't come.  It was a two hour sail on the Ohio River on a 103 year old paddle wheeler.  There was a lunch buffet and music, dancing (for those who wanted) and it was just a nice relaxing day.

People keep asking "What's it like there?"  It's green, humid (we haven't gotten to the bad part yet), friendly, and a bit odd...but aren't we all!?  The man who gave the closing prayer in Stake Conference started with "Let us pray" and ended "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit".  We're not in Utah anymore, folks!!!  If nothing else it's very interesting and we love it!
